No, not really...
This is my phone currently. It's doesn't have a touch screen, it is not ergonomical and worst of all it has BUTTONS.
(This is not an actual photo of MY phone, the buttons on my phone have actually fallen off. However, this photo clearly shows how non-functional my phone is.)
It looks horrible right? I'm not trying to diss Nokia or this particular model, but lets face it this is no smart phone.
I personally find Android and iPhone applications/ functions to be amazing. I have experienced both iPhone and Android applications, and I have found that I currently prefer Apple applications. This is only because at the moment there are so many applications available for Apple, but in saying that it is only for now. Android is another platform which is growing with applications, most of which that are conversions of Apple applications. As I said earlier, I currently prefer Applications but I can see myself moving onto Android applications as I am sure that they will become advance and innovative as new applications are developed.
I think Android will one day take over Apple. I believe this is due to the limitations Apple already faces, which is itself. Apple can only create applications for Apple, perhaps if they had compatible applications for other smart phones they would not suffer later. Apple is limited by Apple!
Though Apple operates closed economy system, the products still attract people to purchase. I think the reason why Apple still popular is not only because Apple is a brand with great reputation, it also because its design ideas and security system. The fact is Apple’s security system is the disadvantage of the company at the same time it is the key term that makes Apple valuable in the market. However, to fit the future market, great security system cannot help Apple go far, it however may limit Apple. Android operates free system, which is everything has a strong connection with Internet and people would be gathered in a easy way. Personally, I prefer Apple products because of the brand, but on the other hand Apple will be replaced by Android because people would prefer Android free system.
ReplyDeleteNokia is not dead, it's just sick. Nokia is still a major market share holder in the industry. The reason for this is the fact that although well established countries can afford expensive smart phones, much of the European market as well as Africa and South American market are flooded with Nokia phones. These are cheap, easy to use reliable phones. Of course they won't go down without a fight and are planning the release of a new smartphone with Windows OS. Time will tell how well that goes for them.
